Incubation Facilities
From Wiki
Some of our universities have dedicated facilities to provide graduating students the opportunity to transform their academic projects into viable businesses. Institutions such as KIST in Rwanda currently invest in entrepreneurial students who have the desire to productize their research. In return for a small amount of seed funding to cover a minimal salary, workspace, and computer workstations, the university has the opportunity to participate in later venture capital rounds of investment. These types of academic incubators have been encouraged by the Rwandan government and appear to be a sustainable method for nurturing a small but vibrant technology start-up community within Kigali.
